Echoes of the Past


Its been quite a while, since we had passed by this ancient moment, Stonehenge on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, on our way to Dorset & Devon.  So up came the camera, and I started shooting through the car window, while asking if husband would be so kind as to slow, just a little bit…..and just a little bit it was.  Luckily the rain had stayed away, so the screen was dry, which helps when shooting through the front windscreen.  Anyway, the stones did look like they were growing out of the landscape, and maybe how they might have looked to ancient man, walking cross the plain and seeing them in the distance.  I visited many years ago, when you were allowed inside the ring and could touch, but I like to see them from a distance, they look majestic from afar.
